Chickens were created to scratch, peck and roam the pastures chasing bugs and eating seeds and leaves. And at Meadow Song Farms our goal is to imitate nature’s patterns as closely as possible. Our chickens roam the pastures in the summer under the shelter of their mobile coops and in the winter we keep them in the cozy barn where we substitute the fresh forage they would eat in the pasture for dried or fermented grasses and leaves which are also highly nutritious!
